Device Authority releases KeyScaler platform update with new license control features and improved support for Microsoft Azure Key Vault

London, UK, and San Ramon, California, USA – Device Authority, a global leader in identity and access management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced an updated version of its IoT security platform which includes enhanced license control features and improved support for Microsoft Azure Key Vault.

KeyScaler is now available in an easy to consume, scale as you grow, flexible licensing model where customers can purchase additional functionality (alongside the comprehensive base license) when they need it, depending on their requirements.  The modules available today include Identities, Data Security, Secure Updates and HSM Access Controller.

  1. KeyScaler Identities increases the trust and security over native solutions, boosting operational efficiency, and delivering substantial return on investment through automated onboarding, PKI lifecycle management, certificate issuance, and seamless integration with IoT platforms.
  2. KeyScaler Data Security focuses on crypto key management, data authenticity, data privacy and confidentiality.
  3. KeyScaler Secure Updates reduces complexity and time-to-deployment through a standardized update framework, reducing security exposure from unpatched devices and leveraging existing investments in code-signing platforms, HSMs and data delivery services.
  4. KeyScaler HSM Access Controller prevents unauthorized access to keys stored within an HSM and provides policy controls for HSM functions.

“Our customers have asked for it and we are delighted to launch our new licensing control features which enable them to optimize their IoT deployments with the KeyScaler functionality they require for different use cases. This flexible model allows customers to use more functionality when they need it. As we continue to develop the platform, we will add further features to our license modules,” said Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority.

Device Authority provides solutions to rapidly accelerate IoT deployments by providing trusted automation solutions to make security the foundation to a connected IoT experience. KeyScaler Key Vault Connector helps customers operationalize Azure Key Vault for IoT applications and CA signing purposes, to quickly implement this functionality and leverage existing investments in Microsoft’s Azure Key Vault.

Combining Azure Key Vault with KeyScaler enables a fully functional private CA model for IoT certificate automation. This enables management of IoT device attestation, device registration, certificate provisioning, certificate lifecycle management with the private keys stored in a robust key store – Azure Key Vault. This solution also enables customer to utilize a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model which can setup the CA while the customer maintains and owns their root keys.

The release will be generally available from Monday, January 25th 2021.
