Device Authority Publishes Advice on GSMA IoT Security Guidelines
The document explains how Device Authority’s KeyScaler can solve challenges in IoT
December 3rd, 2018 - London, UK and Fremont, USA – Device Authority, a global leader in Identity and Access Management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain, today published a document outlining their alignment with GSMA Guidelines for IoT Security Endpoint Ecosystem.
The GSMA guideline document
includes 85 detailed recommendations for the secure design, development and deployment of IoT services and covers networks as well as service and endpoint ecosystems. It addresses security challenges, attack models and risk assessments. The areas where Device Authority solutions specifically align are in the following five sections: The Security Model, Frequently Asked Questions, Critical Recommendations, High Priority Recommendations and Medium Priority Recommendations.
Device Authority’s document published today describes the solution and technology that KeyScaler can provide to organizations to help them adhere to some of the GSMA guidelines and address the specific security risks in their IoT service deployments. The majority of these guidelines are aligned with the Enterprise IoT Security Blueprint model
that Device Authority published earlier this year.
“Occasionally we’re asked by customers and partners how our solutions align with industry best practices or guidelines. Today we have launched a comprehensive document focused on how Device Authority’s KeyScaler aligns with GSMA IoT security guidelines,” said Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority.
It is essential to build security in right from the start with IoT, while also ensuring the security is delivered end-to-end for the solution or product – including protecting the data. The Secure by Design approach outlined by GSMA is a critical starting point for any IoT service. Device Authority can help organizations with their IoT security strategy and implement an end-to-end security architecture from the very beginning, including the management of IoT devices throughout their lifecycle.
